Please see below about the current Toys for Teens campaign going on at Claremont for the holidays. Have talked to players about partnering up for $5 each to get a card and contribute as many as we can as a team. Any contributions from any player would be appreciated.
Our annual Toys for Teens Donation Drive is on until Dec 12. Claremont donates $10 Gift Cards to Teens in need in our community. We join in on The Zone 91.3’s Toy Drive which gives to the “Christmas Giving Network,” a group of local agencies in Greater Victoria such as CFAX Santa’s Anonymous, St Vincent de Paul, The Mustard Seed, Salvation Army, Times Colonist Christmas Fund and many more.
Please help donate towards our school goal of 1000 gift cards and help a Teen in our community. Gift cards for food, clothing, personal items, school supplies, etc. are welcomed. Our hope is that every student and staff member donate 1 gift card each. These will be collected in Block 2 classes or at the front office.

The Senior Spartan team swept the Space Needle Shootout with a perfect 6-0 record including a hard fought 8-5 win in the championship game against Mercer Island.
The Junior Spartans played well and ended with a 3-1 record but unfortunately missed out on the championship round on a tie-breaker.
Congrats to all players for representing Claremont well.

Please see below from Dr. Ben Stebbins who has been assisting with the lacrosse program this year.
My name is Ben Stebbins, I am a former CSI lacrosse player (grad 2008) and currently spending time working with your boys in the program. I know Darren had mentioned me but I wanted to take some time to introduce myself and tell you about who I am and what I do.
I graduated from the Claremont Lacrosse Academy in 2008 and am now a rehab and movement focused Chiropractor at Tall Tree Integrated Health center located at Mattick’s Farm.
Since going through the CSI lacrosse program I have been focused on health, fitness, and performance which led me to my career in Chiropractics. While completing my Doctorate in Chiropractics I also completed a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine, focusing on treating sports injuries, sports performance, and athlete injury management. This focus in my career made getting back involved with Claremont Lacrosse a natural fit.
My goal with Claremont is to be the first line of healthcare for the players, reduce their risk of injury, and help prepare them physically for the next step in their lacrosse careers. Twice a week I am with them answering questions, assessing injuries, or taking them through rehab and strength work if they are unable to play. This treatment and assessment on location is important but does not allow for as thorough of treatment as I can provide within the office setting. If I think they will need more hands-on care I recommend further evaluation with me at Tall Tree or with their current Sports Med Professional.
As a Chiropractor who focuses on sports performance, rehabilitation, and injury management patients who have previous experiences with more traditional Chiropractics are often surprised at the contact time, conditions I am able to treat, and the variety of treatment modalities I use.
All of this being said if you have any questions or concerns I am always open to having a conversation, so don’t be afraid to contact me!

Happy Sunday to all – hope everyone had a chance to get warm and catch their breath after an awesome weekend of lacrosse for Claremont.
40 games in 26 hours of play and 13 games played by the Spartans with only one blemish is awesome. Hope all enjoyed that one weekend of play where all boys get to play at ‘home’ for the year.
Congratulations to our gr 12’s and their families for a fantastic evening Fri night for the school, the program, and all of you and your families. Glad to be a part of the celebration and proud of you all!! As a bonus the high level of play and victory made the night perfect!
Huge thanks to all for their help in making this tourney a success on and off the field – without parent help the many jobs that are needed to be done would be impossible for a successful tourney and well run tourney. Also very special to see alumni and alumni parents at the fields and also willing to help. For our 13th year I’d say it was a hit.
I’m probably gonna miss a few but….at the risk of that special thx to:
- Caroline Mace and Lindsay Pepper for the coordination and organization of volunteers
- Phil Ohl and Chelsea Giordano (staff) for their coordination an announcing of FNL
- Mike Verhagen, Glen Manns, Chris Sheridan, and the others (sorry, I know there is more) who took charge of setting up, taking down, and running fields during tourney
- Cheryl Brown (alumni parent) for her help with sponsorship and FNL
- Michelle Glanfield for the production of the program
