Bottle Drive Update

Posted by Claremont Lacrosse at Jan 5, 2017 9:49PM PST

Please see below message from Cheryl regarding bottle drives:

There is a lot happening this Saturday with the Jr. draft and club games so we have made an executive decision to cancel an “organized” bottle drive at the school.

We are asking that you please take your bottles to the Bottle Depot and ask for them to be credited to “Claremont Lacrosse”.

Thank you to Caroline Mace for setting up the account for us! This way you can all do it on your own time on Saturday and throughout the year!

Welcome back to all – hope everyone had a restful break and great Xmas.

Starting tomorrow and for the rest of the month we will be doing a mix of strength training, fitness, boot camps, PE activities, field trips, and if time, a class room session or two. When space and time available the jr class may get split into gr 9 and 10 groups but…the weather this week may not allow for that to happen as that usually means one group would be outside.

Please make sure you are checking the schedule (posted at school and this week has been posted to the site calendar with further weeks coming soon) so you know what to prepare for each day.

And….outside of our PE/lacrosse class make sure you are ‘on top’ of your other 3 classes, getting all assignments in, and prepping yourselves to be in the best position possible come exam week (Jan 23-27).

See you tomorrow – Coach Reisig

Hi all,

Want to take a moment to wish all the guys and their families the best of the holiday season and a very Merry Xmas. Have a great break, tons of fun and stay safe.

Also, the Claremont Annual Alumni game is booked for Dec. 28 from 5-7:00pm at UVic on field 3. All current players are invited and encouraged to come out and support the event and see some pretty good lacrosse. Additionally and as always would like our current Grade 12’s to attend and participate in the game.

Merry Xmas to all – Coach Reisig

The weekly schedule for the last week before Christmas Break has been posted to the site.

Players all know but senior class has a field trip to CARSA on Monday morning for a spin / TRX class. Junior guys have a swim on Tuesday at Commonwealth. For the swim, players to make their own way to the pool, buses arranged for the trip back to school.

Have a good week!

Congratulations to both the senior and junior lacrosse teams for their respective wins over Bellevue at the Space Needle Shootout this past weekend in Seattle.

It was the senior team’s 4th consecutive and the Junior team’s 3rd in a row. A credit to each as both teams continued our streak of undefeated play at the tourney over the last 4 years (jr only have been for 3).

The coaching staff would like to congratulate all players for their efforts and commitment throughout ‘fall ball’ and it was a great way to culminate the work put in this far this year.

Moving forward the sticks will be ‘put away’ for the next 6 weeks of school and will get back at it after semester 1 exams. Until then will be a combination of mini PE units, fitness, field trips, classroom, and strength conditioning.

This week the junior class will be going to CARSA at UVic for a spin class and a TRX class. This will likely be Wed and will be confirmed tomorrow. I’ll try to arrange transport to and from but that would mean guys would have to be at school for 7:45am. For the sr guys I’m hoping to have one arranged for Thur this week.

Next week the Jr guys have a fun swim at commonwealth on Mon and the sr guys get the spin class workout likely on Tues.

I’m hoping to have Dec/Jan schedule done tomorrow to be posted on website.
